2024 Sponsorship Rate Change

For the past 5 years our sponsorship rate for students at the Kindergarten through 12th grade level has stayed constant at $42.00 per month.  During that period the costs associated with providing scholarships to our students have increased.  Inflation in Guatemala has caused the costs of transportation, food, and supplies to rise.  We have seen a corresponding increase in enrollment rates at the local schools and universities. 

To accommodate this reality, it is important for us to increase the salaries of our local staff and community leaders in Guatemala, as well as the amounts disbursed for the education of our students.  As a result, we need to adjust our sponsorship rates to reflect the realities of providing educational funding for Guatemalan students today.

• Our basic K-12 sponsorship rate will change to $48.00 per month, which comes to $576 per year. (In case you’re wondering, our sponsorship cost is still competitive with larger but similar organizations, including World Vision and Compassion International.)  This increase will directly benefit the students in our scholarship program.
• Similarly, the sponsorship rate for university students will increase from $100/month to $115/month.
