Work Trip - March, 2012 [Week #2]
(St. Luke's UMC, Highlands Ranch, CO)

The group size for this trip will be 25 - 30 people. We will be working with local people to build classrooms for a new school in Caserio Rosario, Lemoa. We will also be spending time in activities with village children. Prior construction experience is not essential.

Schedule (March 23 - April 1, 2012)

Friday Mar.23 - Fly to Guatemala City
- Drive to Antigua
- Check into lodging
Saturday Mar. 24

- Drive to Chichicastenango (~5 hours)
- Check into hotel
- Visit Maryknoll Sisters
- Visit orphanage

Sunday Mar. 25 - Free time at the market in Chichicastenango
- Attend evening church services
Monday Mar. 26 - Work day
Tuesday Mar. 27

- Work day

Wednesday Mar. 28 - Work day
Thursday Mar. 29 - Work day
Friday Mar. 30 - Work day
Saturday Mar. 31 - Drive to Antigua (~4 hours)
- Check into hotel
- Free time in Antigua
Sunday Apr. 1 - Shuttle to airport (~1 hour)
- Fly home

Cost

The total cost for this trip is estimated at $1,750 per person; the final amount will depend on group size and ticketed airfare. This amount will include group airfare, ground transportation, lodging, and most meals during the trip. Here is a breakdown of what is covered by the per-person contribution:
